Cute Ears

Velvet comfort wrapped around
a heart the size of the world.
Snoring softly, breathing gently,
tucked under and curled
against my side, under my arm,
and trusting my embrace.
Adoring eyes gaze back at me,
cold nose, long tongue - puppy face.
